I'm Joanna

Ten years ago I burnt out completely. Anxiety, panic attacks, grief and the kind of exhaustion that comes from living a life that I hadn’t chosen. The truth is, I’d been living on autopilot for a long, long time.

I didn't have a plan. I just knew something had to change. Eventually leaving the life I’d built was the most terrifying and liberating thing I’ve ever done.

What followed was a slow, deeply necessary process of finding my way back to myself. Truly myself, not the version I’d been performing for others.

I explored yoga, meditation, plant medicine and Ayurvedic bodywork. I discovered Cognitive Hypnotherapy, and nervous system and somatic work, integrating more and more layers and parts of myself that I’d pushed away.

I continued to learn, through different paths, to listen to myself and to that deeper knowing I'd spent years hiding from. I connected to a sense of peace, clarity and contentment. I trusted myself and life again.

I know how it feels to hide and perform a version of yourself that is built from other people’s expectations. I know what it’s like to feel too much and too little all at once. To carry shame quietly and know there’s more to this precious life but not quite believe you're allowed to reach for it.

I work with women who are done hiding, using Cognitive Hypnotherapy, somatic healing and a trauma-informed and shame-sensitive approach that tends to the mind, body and nervous system together.
